BACKGROUND AND HISTORY

In 1989 Brian Osborne purchased a run down petrol station and workshop on one of the largest private housing estates in the country. The garage was situated on Hartshead estate so therefore the name of Hartshead - Marques Of Distinction was chosen.

During the first year the site was brightened up and remedial work was carried out on the premises. A greater range was added to the small shop on the site and the opening hours extended. The previous owner had failed to properly utilise the space, which is approximately half an acre. This area was utilised as a carsales area. During the first few years, a stock of approximately 20-25 cars was kept for sale. The number of vehicles was gradually increased until 1994 - the business itself was developing rapidly, and an excellent reputation was developed. In 1994 it was decided that the business required complete redevelopment so that growth could continue. The decision was made to demolish the site and build a brand new purpose built development. The new development would incorporate and eight car luxury showroom, a modern four bay workshop and MOT station, an 1100 square feet Spar shop and a BP petrol station.

PRESENT DAY

The busines has since changed hands in March 2004, and has become a limited company. it now offers more than 50 cars on site and has gone from strength to strengh building on Brian's foundations. Hartshed has developed a niche in the local area for selling prestige and performance vehicles at a reasonable price.Using the power of the World Wide Web, Hartshead hopes to extend its coverage area and offer people throughout the country the chance to purchase a quality prestige vehicle at a low price.we now specialise in BMW, AUDI, MERCEDES, VW and LEXUS cars and can locate most cars you desire.

PRICING POLICY

Due to the fact that we don't have the same overheads as with main dealers, we are able to offer vehicles at a considerably reduced price. We do not have a massive team of faceless sales executives whose only aim is to improve their bonus figures. All of our sales staff are committed to providing the highest level of service in a non-pressured environment. The vast majority of our vehicles are sourced directly from the main dealer, and are not generally purchased from an auction house. By purchasing quality vehicles from the main dealer in blocks, we are able to offer them at a considerably lower rate, this saving we are able to pass on directly to YOU, the customer. With extensive links throughout the motor trade we are also able to offer the best prices for part exchange. We have a number of buyers (each specialising in different vehicles) who will offer top money for your vehicle. You can rest assured that our competitive prices coupled with our generous part exchange allowance will result in a great deal.

Businesses in the south of England (particularly in London) are forced to make a massive outlay when purchasing or renting a property. Higher rates and wages make the overheads in southern businesses much greater than we face. As we are situated in the northwest of England and not subjected to these excessive costs and can pass these savings on to the customer. The prices of our vehicles are substantially lower than in the southeast of England.
